We are looking for a Restaurant Server to join the opening team of Julene at The Sunny Hotel in Sunny Isles Beach.

The Sunny is a new oceanfront hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, marking the transformation of the historic Newport Beachside Hotel into a modern beachfront destination. The 340-room property blends thoughtful design with a strong food and beverage program, multiple dining concepts, and a series of lively social spaces designed for both guests and the local community.

Family-owned for three generations, the property builds on decades of hospitality on one of South Florida’s most storied beachfront sites. With a completely refreshed guest experience and an ambitious culinary program, The Sunny represents a new chapter for this longtime Sunny Isles Beach landmark.

About Julene:

Julene will serve as the hotel’s signature restaurant and a cornerstone of its food and beverage program. A refined yet approachable neighborhood restaurant, Julene focuses on familiar American cooking executed at a high level—celebrating dishes people crave, prepared with care and confidence. Designed to feel lively and welcoming, Julene is intended to become a true gathering place for Miami—equally loved by hotel guests and local regulars alike.

Job Description:

A Server greets and takes food and drink orders from restaurant guests, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests. Remains attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to or exceeding service standards as established by the restaurant at all times. Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed. Controls allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed. Receives proper payment from guest and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company

What You’ll Do:

Responsibilities:

· Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.

· Guide guests through the menu, providing recommendations and answering any questions.

· Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.

· Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner, ensuring presentation and quality meet our high standards.

· Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service to enhance their dining experience.

· Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining area.

· Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately.

· Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination and exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications:

· Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Six months to one year serving experience preferred

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

· Read, write and speak English fluently

· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

· Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

· Knowledge of food and beverage service standards

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
